Mind Music

Explore making brainwave-generated sound and music! Using EEG headsets, DAW (digital audio workstations), mindful meditation, emotional state manipulation and lots of experimentation….we’ll capture brainwave data and convert it into cutting-edge sonic portraits of our most inner landscapes. Though you don’t need any kind of musical training or background in this studio, you will need lots of patience, curiosity and respect for the process. This is fairly uncharted territory, and we will be embarking on a significant technical and creative challenge. The entire process will also be really fun, super-weird and unlike anything any of us has ever done. No phones, smart devices or personal computers (unless it’s being used for the studio) will be allowed during studio time, except at lunch.

Adam Steinberg

Songwriter, Musician, Producer, Engineer

Adam Steinberg is a songwriter/musician/producer/engineer with a deep curiosity about the creative process and an undying love for good songs and cool sounds. Awards and Honors include: Official Grammy Award Participant, 4 Clio Awards, First Place Billboard International Songwriting Contest, Telly Award, etc. with many record, film and television songwriting/composition credits. He is particularly proud to have had his guitar playing transmitted millions of miles into space from the radio Telescope at Arecibo, Puerto Rico as part of a 35th year celebration of the Sagan-Drake transmission from Arecibo. Adam currently works in music technology as an engineer for Young Chang/Kurzweil Music Systems and is slowly, but surely, working on a musical.
