How a Song is Born
Have you ever wondered how a simple feeling, observation, phrase or melody becomes a song? What the difference is between an easily-discarded, free-floating idea – and an inspiration that catches fire into a realized and deeply personal form of expression? Explore how time and place, life experience, war, peace, culture and technology contribute to what we hear, what we like and what we leave on the cutting room floor. Learn to listen to your inner voice and trust instinct, nurture curiosity and creative spark while challenging complacence and doubt. In a spirit of creative open-mindedness and support, we will create our very own original composition(s), telling our own story, presented in it’s most essential form, with everyone collaborating and contributing something; no matter how big or small. This is not so much about the finishing touches, but about lighting the fire.
