We live in a world of stories; stories that define us, re-imagine us, re-invent us, or destroy us. Some of these stories are conceptual, others are philosophical, others exist in physical remains, some are told through pictures and others through words and verses, some float in the chords of a melody, while others are told through the motions of a brush stroke, yet they all describe events through narrative that we each have an innate need to tell, to hear and to live by.
Winter at NuVu will be filled with stories that the students create and describe using graphics, paint, photography, models, blogs, music, micro-computers, as well as other audio and video technologies that allow for ideas to be explored beyond the tangible realm. Through each studio and particular design process, students will develop skills to analyze, evaluate, and examine their work through its narrative structure.
“Storytelling is the most powerful way to put ideas into the world today.”
