Session 1: July 2-13, 2012 (July 4 holiday)

Create your own superhero gadget or tool! If you can envision it, we’ll help you research and prototype it! In the process, you’ll learn about existing cutting-edge technologies and other high-tech concepts. Did you know that humans have already created maneuverable exoskeletons, wall-scaling gloves and shoes, jetpacks, jump shoes, invisibility cloaks, super-hearing, levitation, hydrodynamic fins, fogging and stunning devices, pyrokinetic gadgets, electronic second skin, grappling hooks and rope ascenders, and x-ray vision? (Whew, that’s a mouthful!) Compression tights and polarized sunglasses are just the beginning as we empower you with the physics (electricity and magnetism — booyah!), thermodynamics, engineering, 3D modeling, robots, and programming skills you need to bring your vision to reality.
