Video Production
This video production studio will guide students through the process of making short movie projects using a variety of creative techniques. Students will work collaboratively and fulfill all of the principal roles in designing their projects while learning about pre-production, cinematography, sound and digital editing. Innovative, artistic and unusual approaches to motion picture production will be emphasized while making videos that promote meaningful ideas.
Gordon Nelson
Filmmaker, Educator, Curator
Gordon Nelson is a Scottish born filmmaker, educator and curator who was raised in Pennsylvania and is married to Tara Merenda Nelson. He teaches filmmaking classes at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design and Pittsburgh Filmmakers and has curated film programs at the Museum of Modern Art (NYC) and the Carnegie Museum of Art. He is also a founder of Jefferson Presents, a microcinema collective with over 100 independent screenings. His films and videos have been screened in galleries and museums worldwide including MoMA and the Andy Warhol Museum.
